History Homework

1. How did the colonists unite America?
First, the colonists were discontent for what Britain had done to them. The Britain passed some acts so that the colonists had to pay for the cost of keeping the army that defeated France. The Britain also passed some unfair economic policy to the colonists. Because of this, the colonists called into the The Boston Tea Party. After this event, the British govenment proclaimed the Intolerable Acts to punish those who took part in the event. This joined the thirteen colonies together. They called the First Continental Congress and demanded the King of Britain should end the Intolerable Acts. But the Britain government refused so the colonists started the American Revolution. And France helped the colonists against Britain as she wanted to take revenge for her defeat in the Seven Years' War. The colonists proclaimed The Declaration of Independence and declared independence of the thirteen colonies which became the United States of America. Eventually, Holland and Spain helped the colonists to fight against Britain and Britain was defeated. Britain signed the Treaty of Paris to recognize the independence of the thirteen colonies.

2. How did the legislature take part in the structure of the federal government?
There were one hundred members in the Senate in the legislature which standed for the States while the four hundred and thirty-five members of the House of Representatives standed for the people's interests in the States. The legislature made law and could impeach the President.

3. How did the revolution happen?
First, the colonists were discontent for the economic and political tactic that the British government made for them. So the colonists called into the Boston Tea Party and the Bristish government passed the Intolerable Acts to punish them. And they called the First Continental Congress to demand the Britain government should end the Intolerable Acts. But the Britain refused so the colonists started the American revolution.

4.Why did the people in the Enlightenment object to absolute power?
The people in the Enlightenment objected to absolute power because first of all, these people were educated. They had new ideas about people's rights and they understood that they could rebel if the king suppressed their natural rights which are life, liberty and property. But the absolute power arrested their natural rights so they objected to it.

5. Explain one of the acts that created economic discontent amongst the American colonists.
Britain got cheap raw materials and a big market for her goods from the thirteen Conlonies. Yet she did not let them produce things that would compete with her goods. The colonists thought that this policy was not fair because they couln't trade freely.
