The International Food Fair article

The International Food Fair was held in Methodist College on the seventh of December, 2007. Form 2 students organized the food fair because they wanted to donate money to ' Docters without Borders'. Some students cried because they could not put on their banner.
The food fair was a bad event because it was environmental unfriendly. It could not help students in their studies. Moreover, there was a lot of food left and it was a waste of food.

Computer Lesson 10/12/07

In the last week, we worked on the international food fair.
I learnt that about abverbs.
I learnt about adjectives.
I learnt about American style.
I learnt not to interrupt others when they are speaking

International Food fair

This afternoon I was in the food fair. I was the MC of the food fair and when I was on the stage to give a speech, I was very nervous and frighten, I did something wrong, I didn't let Mrs Tang to have a short speech. However, I still satisfied it because I didn't have a stage fright.

My throat is hurt because I shouted loudly in the food fair in order to get the attention of the form1 students. I was shouting too hard. I was hard-working in drinking water now. That's awful.

I learnt that using beautiful bag to decorate my food will touch off the teacher's doubts. They always asked me '' You brought this, aren't you?''. But in fact we did it by ourselves.

Computer lesson 3/12/07

This week I learnt more about Tom Sawyer.
I learnt how to decorate.
I learnt more about French cooking.
I learned how to check our work.

French

French cooking has different characteristic base on the specialty of different place. There is a lot of individualized food in France, for example grenouille. But the staple food in France is bread, for example croissant.
The French restaurant is famous for its ceremonial and savor, most of the most luxurious and most expensive restaurant in the world is French restaurant.

I learnt restaurant review.
I learnt recipe features.
I learnt to-infinitive and bare infinitive.

Restaurant review

This time my group choose to write an article instead of make a film because we are afraid we can't show it to the entire class, just like last time. I learnt what is included in an restaurant review. I learnt more adjectives to decribe the taste of food. This time I can use more dish-specific comments like crispy but not only using delicious or tasty. And I also make less grammatical mistakes. But still I can improve my time-management to work with my group members next time because in the last two times, when my group members call me to visit a restaurant, I am the lastist one to reach.

I learnt active and passive vocie.
I learnt modal verb.
I learnt vocabularies: travel writer, exclaimed, announced, guidebook, spectacular, dress warmly, shuttle bus, waving, Honk Kong Island, Sha Tin
I learnt how to put video onto youtube.

Homework

I learnt that making an advertisement is not as difficult as I thought before doing it. And I also learnt that the cooperation between I and my group memberswhen we are making the advertisement is very important too, for example we must be on time when we are going to discuss it.
I didn't like to do filming because my group members and I are not very well in filming and making it in the computer.
I liked to do the activity like this because I can learn a lot of things.
This time I think I didn't do very well because I can't show the video to the class. I felt a bit disappointed. And I also think that the script we write is very poor. It isn't creative enough.

The most important word: ingredients meaning: materials for cooking

The class should learn this word because when they are preapring food for the international food fair, they must need ingredients. If they don't know what are ingredients, they can't start their cooking.

My Commentary

I think it is important to control the kids' diet because if kids only eat chocolate or sweet, they may become unhealthy and easy to get sick. If parents want to keep their children to eat more healthy food, I think they need to make their diet to be more attraction, for example putting some tomatoes so that it will be more colourful.
I was a picky eater too when I was small. When I was small, my favourite food was meat. If I had no meat, I won't eat anything. My mother always begged me to eat more vegetables instead of just eating meat but I felt very annoyed from her. Sometimes she even tried to hit me. But now I get better, I eat both vegetables and meat because I understand that only eat meat is not healthy.

The ninth wonders!?

If I had to choose something or some place in Hong Kong to be the ninth wonder of the world, it would be the Skylines of Hong Kong. It is located at Victoria Harbour. I choose it to be the ninth because it is the highest density skylines in the world. Hong Kong is a very small place but it can also be the top one of something in the world. It is wonderful, isn't it?

The other homework:

Important word: cultural meaning:the adj of cutlture, culture means the specal characteristic in a country or a group etc.

I choose this word because each wonders talked in the article had its own cultural value. We should learn it because learning culture of the other places or things or even their cultural value can build up our knowledge.

A hobby

I like reading very much. Reading can be a hobby. It is a very good hobby because while you are reading, you can learn more words. You can read fiction books or non-fiction books. I think if you want to learn words, you need to read fiction. Because fiction is more interesting to read and learn. Non-fiction books is just telling you some knowledge that you may not find in your text book. Therefore, all the books have its own advantages. Hold on this hobby and you will get the benefit from it one day.
