Interviewing

Yesterday after school, Michael, Janet, and I went to the Temple Street to do the English project. Because it was after school and it was already 4:00pm so the time is limited. We did it in more than three hours and my mum asked me to go to home immediately when it was 7:00pm but we haven't finished it. Reluctantly I went back and put the rest of the work for Janet and Michael.
The project ask us to choose one people to interview about some information ofYau Ma Tei. My group chose to ask for the land pollution. This kind of project is just like the project I have done in the Chinese New Year holiday which was about the Central Kowloon Route. It asked us to have an interview with the people who would be affected from the Central Kowloon Route and my group chose to ask the people who worked in Jade Market. But they were very rude to us and most of them refused to help us. So this time I was smarter. I chose to ask my friends who were working in the church. They were very nice to us and they were very glad to help us except they didn't know much about English. So we needed to ask him about the question in Cantonese and they answered us first. Then we wrote down his point and wrote a script in English for him and taught him how to pronounce some of the vocabularies that he did not know. We were just pretending to be a teacher. We were just like doing a drama when filming.
From this project I learnt that choosing a good time is very important. Yesterday I felt ashamed because I threw away Janet and Michael. And also, although it is the same old stuff, I learnt the most important thing in a group work. It is the esprit de corps.
Next time I should be more careful in timeliness. And I should try asking some one that I don't know to train my bravery.

History Homework

Hello. My name is Risaanee de Van. I was borned in 1310 the forteenth of Februray in Venice. My father was called Londg de Van and my mother was called Lisa. I didn't have any sister or brother. It's graceful for being borned in a peaceful but poor family. Everthing seemed to be stable for me. Everyday I didn't need to weak up early but just feeding my father's poultry. And all the household duties were my mother's deal. Although my father was a farmer, he knew some of the Latin too. Every night before I went to my bed, He taught me to write Latin. Every day in my free time I drew pictures in the sand. I found myself talent in drawing and I liked art too. And everyday my life went on like this. There in 1329 my father started to prepare for my wedding because he wanted me to have a new family after he and my mother had died. He found a boy from the hill and the boy knew Latin well. I had no opposes for my father's operations because there's no one allouded me to be agianst it. And we lived together in about 2 years and than we got married.
But in the next year my father died of the disease and my mother made away herself immediately when she heard about this sad news. I cried for three days and nights.
And after that we moved to the other cities, Florence. That was a new life to me and also a new challenge to me. I had five babies in the coming years, 2 boys and 3 girls. Therefore I needed to work so that I could afford the paid of my sons and daughters. When I started to work, there was a great surprise. My first drawing, ''Jesus Disiple''which shows the seven disciples of Jesus listening to the story told by Jesus, had become popular.(At least some people found me to have the signatures for them) Since then, some architect began to find me helping them to draw the draft of some chapel. And my family became richer now. My sons and daughters could go to grammar school. All of them studied for eight years. Every night before we went ot our beds, I and my husband would read the Latin book to my children. The youngest brother and sister needed to take all the household duties. The children played hopscotch in weekend. That's for my daily life in my new family.
But in 1341 my husband joined the army. (Edward's claim to throne of France caused the war.) And he died in the next year. And we felt sad for about one month. After a few months, my daily life became normal again until my death date, 1384. I died of an accident - one day I went up to the hill and very incautiously I fell into the river when I wanted to wash my hand and I drowned.
Although there was a lot of birth and death, I liked the Renaissance life because I was very lucky already if comparing with my parents who were under the Feudalism when they were young.
