In the book, the characters always tell lies to each other because they want to protect everybody. For example, Uncle Henrik has lied Annemarie that Great-aunt Birte has died. But Annemarie realized that there wasn't Great-aunt Birte. Uncle Henrik has said to Annemarie that people will be brave if they know not many things and he wants to help Annemarie so he tells lie to her.
The story happens when the Nazis soldiers are going to ''relocate'' the Jewish. And Annemarie's best friend, Ellen, is one of the goal of the soldiers in the ''relocating'' action. So Ellen needs to move from Compenhagen to Henrik's house. And this event help to bring in the climax of the story.
I think Annemarie is very fearless because she is just ten years old and she can overcome her fear by remembering that she told story to Kirsti to reassure herself when she and her mother are seperate. If I was she, I may be in a maze and just cry. That's why I admire her so much.

History Homework
1. How did the colonists unite America?
First, the colonists were discontent for what Britain had done to them. The Britain passed some acts so that the colonists had to pay for the cost of keeping the army that defeated France. The Britain also passed some unfair economic policy to the colonists. Because of this, the colonists called into the The Boston Tea Party. After this event, the British govenment proclaimed the Intolerable Acts to punish those who took part in the event. This joined the thirteen colonies together. They called the First Continental Congress and demanded the King of Britain should end the Intolerable Acts. But the Britain government refused so the colonists started the American Revolution. And France helped the colonists against Britain as she wanted to take revenge for her defeat in the Seven Years' War. The colonists proclaimed The Declaration of Independence and declared independence of the thirteen colonies which became the United States of America. Eventually, Holland and Spain helped the colonists to fight against Britain and Britain was defeated. Britain signed the Treaty of Paris to recognize the independence of the thirteen colonies.
2. How did the legislature take part in the structure of the federal government?
There were one hundred members in the Senate in the legislature which standed for the States while the four hundred and thirty-five members of the House of Representatives standed for the people's interests in the States. The legislature made law and could impeach the President.
3. How did the revolution happen?
First, the colonists were discontent for the economic and political tactic that the British government made for them. So the colonists called into the Boston Tea Party and the Bristish government passed the Intolerable Acts to punish them. And they called the First Continental Congress to demand the Britain government should end the Intolerable Acts. But the Britain refused so the colonists started the American revolution.
4.Why did the people in the Enlightenment object to absolute power?
The people in the Enlightenment objected to absolute power because first of all, these people were educated. They had new ideas about people's rights and they understood that they could rebel if the king suppressed their natural rights which are life, liberty and property. But the absolute power arrested their natural rights so they objected to it.
5. Explain one of the acts that created economic discontent amongst the American colonists.
Britain got cheap raw materials and a big market for her goods from the thirteen Conlonies. Yet she did not let them produce things that would compete with her goods. The colonists thought that this policy was not fair because they couln't trade freely.

Hong Kong and the 13 Colonies
When we compared the differences between Colonial America and Colonial Hong Kong, there must be a lot because they are in the totally different world.
Colonial Hong Kong had a variety transport, from the ferries and rickshaws to the buses. From the transportation development, we can see that Hong Kong’s trade is more thriving. The British business men came to Hong Kong to do trading but they didn’t do it in the Colonial America. There weren’t any special acts to control Hong Kong too. And so Hong Kong people didn’t make any revolution.
In political, as Hong Kong is only made up of one colony but America is made up of 13 colonies, America may be more disorder. So they signed a constitution while Hong Kong didn’t. Besides, the America developed independence.
Although there are a lot of differences, there are some similarities too. Let’s talk about the similarities in political first. Both are governed by the Britain. There isn’t any absolutism. They have governors and the rule of law but the names of each organization are different. What Hong Kong calls the America’s Congress, President and the court are the Legislature council, Chief executive and the court of Final Appeal respectively.

Going to the Ocean Park
This morning, my classmates and I went to the Ocean Park. I have not gone to there for about four years so it has been changing a lot. When I walked around the Ocean Park this morning I could find there was a lot of constructions carrying out. And I knew there is going to have some hotels. It seem to be a good thing to the Ocean Park because the hotels can attract more tourist to come. But it may destroy everything in the natural place when building the hotels. This morning I found that half of a hill in the Ocean Park has been already eradicated and the rest is going to be the same too. And there was also some land reclamation. From these activities, I can find that Hong Kong society cannot reach the substainable development. And this must not be allowed to happen in an international city.
About my learning in this morning, I learnt that the eating habit of the animals. They can be basically divided into three groups. They are herbnivore, carnivore and omnivore. We humans are omnivore. I also learnt how to identify which animal is herbnivore, which animal is carnivore and which is omnivore. And I also learnt what are the problems that dolphins and pandas are facing. They are disturbed by the human activities and they are endangered.
After seeing these problems I started to doubt about what Ocean Park is doing. They knew that destory natural habitat may disturb animals, but why are they still doing it? They are still cutting up trees to make hotels and they are still doing land reclamation.
Besides learning, there was some time for us to go and play. I played some of the games in the park and I felt a bit scared when I played them.
I was satisfied about my learning and enjoyed my playing this time. When we returned to school, I heard that there were a lot of my classmates claiming that there was time limited. But the time is for playing. I disagree with them because we went to the Ocean Park is for learning, not playing. I think there was enough time today. But maybe they are not thinking the same as me.
